As in society, there seems to me to be three different categories
of homeless people living on the streets. This is how I classified them.

TRANSIENT PEOPLE

These are the people that sleep in the alleys, the doorways, the park
benches and any place they can feel somewhat safe for the night.
For the most part, all they have is what they can carry with them.

BRIDGE PEOPLE

These are people that have acquired a mattress and a few other
belongings and they take shelter under bridges and overpasses.

CAMPERS

These are people that have tents or make shelters from wooden pallets
and tarpaulins. They often establish their site along railroad tracks or
small wooded areas not far from the inner city. Quite often, they are
in clusters and are basically a small community.

This segment of my website is going to be an ongoing and evolving project for many months. I am beginning with the Transient People and will be adding more in time. So, take my hand and let me lead you through a world I hope you will never forget.
